Angel Beats!

1-2-3-4-5-6-7
All good children go to Heaven...

Well, all good children except for the slew of characters in the hit new anime Angel Beats! Led by determined leader Yuri, these crazy characters fight to survive in the afterlife where a mysterious girl named Angel is trying to send them to the other side. How, you may ask? That's fairly simple. She obliterates them!

However, when newcomer Otonashi arrives in this school atmosphere afterlife and joins Yuri's Battlefront group, he discovers that there is more to Angel than just violence and rules. On a journey of his own to regain his lost memories of when he was alive, he realizes that in order for his new friends to find peace and cross over, they will need to put aside their differences and team up with the enemy.

Angel Beats! is one of those anime that you can watch over and over without getting bored. The story that each character has to share about how they died and came to exist in the afterlife will move your heart and may even bring tears to your eyes. And although there is a fair share of comedy and jokes (you will most definitely laugh out loud), Angel Beats! doesn't disappoint in the serious department either and has a very deep story.

Angel Beats! is currently airing on OnDemand's Anime Network and the Complete DVD Collection was just released on July 26th, 2011. This DVD collection consists of all 13 episodes plus the OVA on 3 discs.

With awesome music, hilarious characters and a storyline that will leave you breathless, you won't want to miss another moment without the experience of Angel Beats!

Night Raid 1931 Soundtrack

The year is 1931. The city is Shanghai.

Although I'm only about halfway through this series at the moment, I couldn't help but dedicate The Flying Pussyfoot's first post to the musical wonders that accompany Night Raid 1931. I won't go into details about the episodes themselves until I'm able to watch the entire series through, but surely I can mention that even if you haven't or don't plan on watching Night Raid, you shouldn't miss the opportunity to at least listen to this amazing soundtrack.

The music definitely holds this anime together. Violins, piano and a series of string instruments guide the characters through their journey that is Night Raid. I'm including a link to a source where you can download the entire soundtrack for free. I'd be more than happy to e-mail you the files you want too if you have any trouble downloading the soundtrack on your own.

Get lost in the music of Night Raid 1931!
